It is fascinating how a fruit company took the mobile phone and transformed it to the most popular camera in the World. Apple put more cameras in peoples hands in less than a decade than Kodak ever did.
Unfortunately, it also took away the control away from your hands and into the mercy of a tiny electronic brain, sort of. The whole truth of course is that modern digital cameras do a reasonably good job all by themselves, which in turn has made us, including many professional, lazy.
But photography has become an integral part of our lives, be it for pleasure or business, a lot like driving, except there is no requirement to pass a test before taking a camera in your hand.
It is the only truly universal language, one that almost anyone can use, but very, very few know how. It really takes very little effort to master the essential skills of photography and gain control over your images.
